The Raider Report has made its way back for the 2015-16 school Year. Students and parents may enjoy the weeks worth of broadcast on my website under the Raider Report button. Please know that they may not be in the correct order until we finish our training. Thank you for your understanding. The students from Pre-K through 5th grade will be learning about the parts of the computer: monitor, keyboard, mouse, and printers. They will be presented with a PowerPoint and then visit a website where they will complete an interactive video lesson and quiz helping them to identify and remember the different parts of the computer. After completing the video quiz, the students are allowed to explore their grade appropriate learning games from the grade level link on the website.
This session in the computer lab the students will be introduced to the lab, rules, and procedures. After an introductory PowerPoint, the students will be assigned their computer for the year and be shown how to access my website. The homepage is where the students are directed in the lab if they open Google. From this point they students can choose from a variety of buttons that are linked to symbaloo pages. These pages contain links to a variety of educational sites the children will visit throughout the year.
